Albuquerque, NM

We spent most of the day on the road the past 2 days.  We only stayed 1 night in Lubbock, TX.  Traveling Hwy 84 most of the way we got to see a lot of Texas, mostly rolling hills with large trees, until we got a little closer to NM.  The landscape started changing into smaller and smaller trees and once we got into NM almost no trees and rocky ground.  I took a few pictures on the way.

Video rolling down the road with the oil wells going by.  Also, as we were going by the oil wells one minute and huge windmills the other.

The picture above was on the left side of the road and the one below was on the right.  We wondered when they were going to put some windmills on the other side?

These are the mountains in New Mexico.  Beautiful!!!

We put our New Mexico stamp on the map!

We took a walk around the Enchanted Trails campground today, they have some unique old campers that you can rent.

We went to the Petroglyphs National Menument.  We hiked about 1.5 miles back into the canyon.

Very interesting Native American petroglyphs, but also beautiful views of the mountains.

On our way back to the truck, I had to get another picture of the beautiful scenery. :)

After we saw the petrogliphs, we went for a walk in Old Town.  It's an area of Albuquerque that was where the town first started.  Pictures to come when the internet connection improves.
