Outer Banks' Beaches

The other day we drove to the southernmost part of the Outer Banks and found a beautiful area near the ferry.

It was a wonderful day, beautiful sunshine.

This is the view from the top of the dunes, you can see the sound from here.

This is the view looking the other way from the same spot.  That is the ocean.  Beautiful!

We went to this beach today and for over an hour we were all by ourselves

Relaxing morning

The waves were really turning since we had a storm last night.

Just my footprints in the sand.

Today we went to the Lighthouse beach and stopped to check out the lighthouse first.
Cape Hatteras Lighthouse
Lighthouse beach, the original location of the Lighthouse

They also call this diamond shores, the sand glistened like diamonds.
This is a long steel thing sticking out into the water.
Waves crashing as a lady walks her dog.
It was neat to look out and see how the beach curves around.
More "diamonds"

People fishing off the steel thing.
They left after the waves got bigger.
Nate standing on the steel thing.
Took a walk along the beach.
The lighthouse from the beach.
